The afternoon tea ceremony has played an important part in British social life since the first half of the 19th century, when dinner was moved from the middle of the day to the evening, leaving a long afternoon that needed to be filled. What first started as an opportunity to talk with a friend over a reviving cup of tea has over the years evolved into the wonderfully delicious tradition that it is today. Our Afternoon tea blend pairs perfectly with tea-time treats - why not try yours with neat, crustless sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream and jam, or an indulgent slice of cake?
