Origin: Nahorhabi Tea Estate, Sivasagar District, on the south bank of the Brahmaputra river, Assam, India
Altitude: 95 metres (312 feet)
Plucking season: Early summer
Varietal/cultivar: Assamica
Flavour profile: Bold and malty with a smooth creamy caramel sweetness
Best Enjoyed: With milk

Nahorhabi Tea Estate is named after the Nahor trees that once grew there. One side of the tea garden is still covered with dense forest, and the garden owners regularly plant more trees in order to combat climate change, and also to maintain the diverse local ecology so that birds and animals can thrive there, undisturbed.
